William & Mary Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Inductees of the William & Mary Hall of Fame.
Criteria for membership includes:
- It shall be open to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the College as a superior competitor in Intercollegiate Athletics, as a teacher-coach who has compiled a distinguished record, or as an administrator who has made a long-term exemplary contribution to the Athletic Program through strong leadership.
- Additional consideration will be given for continued contributions to society through community activities, through performance in chosen fields of endeavor and through avocations that bring credit and distinction to the College.
- In order that proper assessment may be made of the nominee, a time period of at least 10 years must have elapsed since graduation of the competitor. A coach or administrator should be disassociated with W&M Athletics in an official capacity for at least five years. Exceptions to the five-year period must receive a unanimous vote of the committee.
- No more than eight persons and no more than one team will be inducted annually.
