Men's Soccer vs. Maryland Tailgate
Tribe soccer fans, the big game of the year in the region approaches! Our Tribe men’s soccer team will be taking a break from their intense CAA schedule to take on the Terps, rated number one in the region and the top five in every national poll. The Tribe, currently 10-2-1 going into Saturday’s Homecoming match with Delaware, will face Maryland at 7 PM on Tuesday, November 2nd at Maryland’s field in College Park. For directions, please visit http://www.cvs.umd.edu/visitors/planning.html. From 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM before the match, we will be hosting a tasty pre-game dinner consisting of appetizers and chili from Hard Times in College Park. For the meal and ticket to the game, including beer and other beverages, the cost for adults is $20 and children $15. For those not needing tickets, the meal is $15 for adults and $10 for children. We will be set up just south of the soccer field in the parking lot-look for the green and gold balloons. The parking lot is free but getting there early is recommended, so join us for the tailgate and make sure you have a decent place to park. If you plan to come to the event, please email Al Albert at afalbe@wm.edu and plan to either send us a check next week or call 757-221-3438 to leave a credit card number (VISA or Mastercard). 3rd Annual Tribe Women's Soccer DC Area FundraiserPlease join us at the 3rd Annual Women’s Tribe Soccer DC Area Happy Hour and Fundraiser. We are fortunate this year to host the annual fundraiser during the same weekend the Women’s team will be in Fairfax, VA to play George Mason (Sunday, September 26th). We hope you will attend the Happy Hour to meet the current team and additionally come out to cheer on the team as they take on George Mason.
The Happy Hour and Fundraiser has proven to be a great opportunity to reunite the local Tribe Soccer community and help raise awareness and funding for the Women’s Tribe Soccer Team. We hope you will participate and continue to contribute to a program that has brought us all so much joy and fulfillment.

Tribe Soccer Pre-Game Tailgate at ODUThe big game of the year between Tribe men’s soccer and ODU is coming up on Tuesday, September 21st at 7 PM at the ODU Soccer Stadium. Billy Owens ’96, the 12th Man Club chairman, will again be sponsoring a pre-game tailgate for all supporters of the team who want to get there early and avoid the weekday rush hour traffic. Billy will be set up by 5:30 PM in the parking lot across the street (behind the goal on 43rd street) from the main entrance to the field and will be serving sandwiches, chips and drinks. We’ll come back to that spot at halftime for our traditional 12th Man Club refreshments and all those attending the pre-game event will be invited back.
The cost for both the pre-game and halftime gatherings is $10, and since Billy is donating the food and drink, the total collected will go to the team’s fundraising account for its spring international trip.
Please let us know by Friday, September 17th if you intend to be there, so we can have the right amount of food and drinks. You can simply RSVP to afalbe@wm.edu and pay at the tailgate. Crapol Scholarship Fundraiser / W&M vs. ODU Football Viewing PartyCome on out to the Rocket Bar in Chinatown (DC) to watch the Tribe Football team take on Old Dominion University and support a great cause at the same time! Entry fee is $20, and all proceeds go to support the Andrew Crapol Scholarship Fund. This is an endowment established in loving memory of Andrew E. Crapol ’00 at the College of William & Mary to support a scholarship for a member of the men’s soccer team. Andrew passed away on March 13, 2009 after a battle with esophageal cancer. The Andrew E.
